Johnson, 44, was appointed interim news leader in February 2021, following the death of his predecessor, veteran journalist Eric English. Johnson is a Saginaw native and Delta College alumnus. “I am honored to lead a team of great journalists who work hard to keep our communities informed,” Johnson said. “I look forward to our team telling the great stories in our area and reporting on the issues that affect our communities.”
