16 Louisiana Artists Nominated for 2021 Grammys
The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will be held this Sunday, March 14 at 7:00 pm from the Los Angeles Staples Center, and Louisiana is well represented.
A total of 16 Louisiana artists are nominated for 23 awards ranging in genres like New Orleans jazz, blues, Cajun, rap, country, and gospel.
One group representing Acadiana is the Cecilia-based trio Sweet Cecilia who are nominated in the Best Regional Roots Album category for their album,
A Tribute to Al Berard.
Bobby Rush, Best Traditional Blues Album for
Rawer Than Raw. Rush won the 2016 Grammy in this category and has a total of six nominations.

Hello, my favorite pop addicts at VSU, and welcome back to a special (and my personal favorite) edition of our beloved pop culture column!
It’s Grammy Awards season in the music industry, and there is no better time to argue about who deserves to win which awards.
This year’s nominations are quite interesting to say the least. While I am still upset about a certain snub ( cough The Weeknd), it is still fun to see who gets honored at one of the most talked-about awards shows in music.
Of course, I have my opinions on who should win and who deserves nothing, and as always, I’m going to give you the tea. Without further ado, here are my predictions for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

My predictions for the 63rd Grammy Awards Illusion by Daena Faustino
Anyone who is close to me knows that music is very important to me. There is seldom a moment where I exist in silence I am always filling that void with music. I play music while I’m in class, while I’m transcribing audio for work and when I’m just sitting around, doing nothing.
So, the Grammy Awards are kind of a big deal to me. Not because I need validation in my music taste, but I love seeing artists getting recognized for their beautiful contributions to the world. Music deserves to be celebrated!
