UL s Joe Dillon Enters Transfer Portal

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will apparently have to play the 2021 college football season without the services of a defensive player who has close to 20 career sacks to his credit. Linebacker Joe Dillon reportedly has entered the NCAA s transfer portal recently as a grad transfer. A senior in 2020, Dillon will have one year remaining as the NCAA granted all college football players one extra season of collegiate eligibility due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Players who enter the NCAA transfer portal can take their respective names off at any time and elect to return to their respective schools. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Dillon appeared in nine games for Louisiana in 2020, compiling 25 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for a loss.

Cajuns Roll Past UTA to Garner Split

Cajuns Roll Past UTA to Garner Split   For the third consecutive week, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns split their two Sun Belt Conference college basketball games. Louisiana salvaged a split of the two-game conference series with the UTA, defeating the Mavericks, 68-51, on Saturday in Arlington, Texas. With the win, UL avenged a 91-86 setback to UTA on Friday night. The Cajuns have now split their first three league series leaving them at 3-3 to begin the 2020-2021 Sun Belt Conference league schedule. Louisiana got off to a quick start on Saturday and took a 42-26 lead into the halftime break, before cruising to the 68-51 win.

Saints Taysom Hill, Latavius Murray Likely To Be Out vs Bucs

When the Saints take the field against the Buccaneers they may be without two of their top offensive weapons. According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Jane Slater, it is not likely that we will see QB Taysom Hill or RB Latavius Murray on the field for the Saints during their NFC Divisional playoff game vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hill is listed as a quarterback on paper, but any Saints fan knows that he is a literal swiss army knife for the team, lining up at just about every offensive position on the field including special teams. Latavius Murray will be missed in the short passing game and as a backup to Saints running back Alvin Kamara.
