Homewood Mountain Resort offering educators a free day on the slopes with breakfast

To honor their unwavering commitment and offer thanks, Homewood Mountain Resort is giving away lift tickets, access to the mountain an hour before the general public and complimentary breakfast to 200 educators on Sunday, April 11, 2021. “Teachers have demonstrated day after day their creativity and resilience over the past year,” said Kevin Mitchell, Homewood Mountain Resort general manager. “As a small token of our gratitude, we’re offering a free day of skiing and breakfast to 200 educators who want to take a break and spend time outside in the mountains.”

4 MSU students win Goldwater scholarships

BOZEMAN — Bolstering a record of Montana State University being a top producer of recipients of the nation’s premier scholarship for undergraduates in STEM fields, four MSU students have been named Goldwater scholars. The 2021 class of Goldwater recipients announced Friday includes Laina Hall and Pushya Krishna of Bozeman, Elliott Pryor of Helena and Matthew Thompson of Woodinville, Wash. This is the third year in a row that four MSU students — the most that any institution may nominate annually — have received the honor, which is among the most prestigious available to undergraduates pursuing research careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

Three Indian American Students Named Marshall Scholars

Photo: LinkedIn Keerthana Annamaneni, Maya Ravichandran and Nitheyaa Shree Ramesh are among the 46 recipients of the 2021 Marshall Scholarships that were unveiled recently by the British government. The winners were chosen from a record 1,190 applicants for the award, which allows American scholars to study any academic subject for up to three years at a university in the United Kingdom with funding from the British government. The award recipients will begin graduate studies at many of the UK’s top academic institutions beginning in September 2021, according to the press release from Marshal Scholarships.
