Since February, the country has gotten 658,200 total vaccine doses in five shipments.
Over 90 percent of the vaccines that the country received were AstraZeneca s Covishield vaccine. It also received vaccine supplies from Israel and India.
Guatemala s government procured 16 million doses from Russia for US$79.6 million.

Since Ukraine regained independence in 1991, successive attempts to reform the country’s prosecution service have met with limited success. This has remained one of the major obstacles to overcoming Ukraine’s post-Soviet legacy of flawed criminal justice and systemic corruption.
I recognize that public trust in the rule of law can only be regained by actions and not words. The challenge is to take advantage of high-level support from Ukraine’s president and parliament along with our international partners in order to achieve the comprehensive transformation of the prosecution service.

IMF still expects more progress from Ukraine for tranche allocation 2 min read
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) remains in negotiations with Ukraine and expects more progress for the allocation of the second tranche under the Stand-By Arrangement.
At a traditional briefing in Washington on Thursday, IMF Spokesperson Gerry Rice said that the talks continue.
He recalled that among the main topics are the preservation of the independence of the National Bank and the continuation of the flexible exchange rate policy, medium-term fiscal stability, the fight against corruption and improvement of corporate governance.
On June 9, 2020, the IMF approved a new 18-month Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine for SDR 3.6 billion (about $5 billion) with an immediate allocation of $2.1 billion of the first tranche.
