THE Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Usman Baba on Thursday said that some of the sponsors/financiers of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and the Eastern Security Network, ESN, are in the custody of the police.
The IGP said that the police were looking at the involvement of suspected IPOB/ESN sponsors in their custody and those outside the country, adding that after a thorough investigation, they would be arraigned in court.
Adegboruwa stated this in reaction to a statement by Joe Igbokwe, a member of the Lagos State Executive Council as Special Adviser to the Governor, who dismissed claims that there were killings at the Lekki Toll Gate during the protest.
