Dani Chitwood Special Olympics Illinois in Chicago Dani Chitwood currently serves as the Assistant Director at Special Olympics Illinois in Chicago. She holds a Master s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois and is currently a PhD candidate at Concordia University Chicago where she is pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Dani s doctoral research is focused on the experience of women of color in leadership roles within predominantly white organizations. She has led the development of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative for Special Olympics Illinois and recently signed on as a consultant with Battle and Banner LLC as their DEI Specialist.
