Hospital employees urged to get vaccinated by 15th

LAHORE : In view of the surge of the fourth wave of Covid pandemic across the province, Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHC&MED), Punjab, has proactively engaged in activities to ensure implementation of Corona SOPs strictly.
According to a hand out issued here on Saturday, SHC&MED Secretary Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, while chairing a high-level meeting, said that the department has directed all the medical institutions, colleges and hospitals to get their employees vaccinated by 15th July and heads of the medical institutions shall issue certificates to the department, certifying that all their employees have been vaccinated.

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that revolutionary changes are being introduced in the health sector.
Presiding over a meeting on Thursday, he directed that a comprehensive strategy should be evolved to implement the Covid-19 Response Programme.
“Effective and concrete steps should be taken for provision of health facilities and strengthening of infrastructure in less developed areas,” he said.
The meeting was informed that the government would set up 31 state-of-the-art incentive care units (ICUs) and upgrade 31 district and 7 tehsil headquarters hospitals in the province under the Covid-19 Control Response Programme to provide maximum health facilities to the people, especially in rural areas.
NAB grills top bureaucrat Nabeel Ahmad in assets case

LAHORE: Investigators of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday grilled Secretary, Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Department Punjab Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan in an investigation of assets beyond means against the top bureaucrat.
It has learnt that the NAB is conducting a forensic audit of assets of Nabeel Awan, including the audit of land registry which the accused claimed that it got from inheritance. Moreover, forensic audit of ink and font on original documents obtained by the NAB of properties of the bureaucrat in question is also underway.
The NAB has also sought record of assets of Nabeel Awan from different districts including Faisalabad. Previously, Nabeel had appeared before the NAB in a case related to Punjab Entertainment Company (PEC).

LAHORE: Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has regretted that the opposition was doing politics on an ‘inherited car’ of Punjab CM Usman Buzdar. Talking to the media in Sialkot, she said negative propaganda was being spread about the chief minister’s assets and vehicles. She said the chief minister’s car was gifted to him by his father, adding that the assets of CM Usman Buzdar were already declared in the FBR. She said that despite tall claims by the opposition, the provincial budget had been passed, adding that no one could stop the completion of public welfare projects. Dr Firdous said the former rulers looted people like vultures and squandered government resources. The bondmaids were levelling baseless allegations of corruption against Punjab CM Usman Buzdar. She said PM Imran Khan stands firm against the corrupt mafia with full strength, courage and determination.
