A former Federal Court judge will take on the role of special investigator to prosecute alleged war crimes committed by Australian special forces soldiers in Afghanistan.
Mark Weinberg, who served as a judge on the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia, has been appointed to the role in the Office of Special Investigator.
