PM lays foundation for Hunza’s first IT Park

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday unveiled the plaque at a ceremony in Chinarbagh, Gilgit to lay the foundation of Hunza’s first Information Technology (IT) Park located in Nasirabad, Hunza.
Established jointly by Special Communications Organisation (SCO) and the Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan (AKFP), the IT Park in Hunza will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure with un-interrupted power supply, high-speed internet facility and a co-working space for small and growing businesses, start-ups, freelancers, and chamber of commerce, says a press release.

According to a statement by SAPM on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Sania Nishtar, the prime minister will announce the roll-out of Ehsaas Nashonuma, Ehsaas Secondary Education Stipends and Ehsaas One Woman One Account initiatives for the people of Gilgit Baltistan.
DDWP approves project worth Rs 651.771 million

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Secretary Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui chaired the third meeting of the Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) for FY 2021-22 held at the Committee Room of the Ministry of IT in Islamabad on Friday.
The meeting gave approval of a project National Center for testing 5G/IOT Products and Services worth Rs 651.771 million.
Meanwhile, the Secretary IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui chaired a meeting regarding the Progress Review of PSDP FY-2020-21.
The meeting emphasized upon complete use of funds allocated for IT projects of the Ministry of IT & Telecom.
IT secretary directs speedy utilisation of projects’ fund

Islamabad : Federal Secretary Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has directed the attached departments of the Ministry of IT & Telecom to accelerate the spending of funds allocated for respective projects for their speedy completion.
The Secretary IT directed this while chairing a meeting about Progress Review of PSDP FY-2020-21 here, said a press release issued on Friday.
The meeting discussed ongoing IT projects and reviewed pace of working on the projects.
He said that speedy utilisation of funds for the ongoing projects is vital for their timely completion.
