Statesboro’s mayor and council are slated to hold three public meetings Tuesday, one after another, at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 50 East Main St.
Topics include final adoption of the “Food Truck Ordinance” after recent revisions, steps toward making $4 million worth of improvements to two parks and the city government establishing an Urban Redevelopment Agency.
Carpet is being ripped up, a stone wall is being cut through and new paint is being applied as a $1.2 million renovation goes into full swing at the Gainesville Civic Center.
The end of 2020 couldnât get here fast enough for many. Itâs been the year of the toilet paper shortage, face masks, quarantines, job losses and political strife. It will be remembered as the Presidential election year when a pandemic altered life for people across the globe.
