Birmingham police ask for help finding missing man

Birmingham police are asking the public for help finding a man reported missing for several days.
Gregory Ray was last seen on Tuesday, March 30 at around 10:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of First Avenue North, according to a news release from Birmingham police. The 58-year-old was wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans and white tennis shoes, according to police.
“Mr. Ray suffers from a mental condition that impairs his judgement and causes him to have combative behavior,” police said in a news release.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald, a Birmingham police spokesman, said Ray’s family is worried because they haven’t heard from the man since he walked away from a group home.
