A Nissan spot is iSpot.tv’s top car commercial of the year, ranked by TV ad impressions across national broadcast and cable TV airings.
Overall, automakers generated 350.5 billion TV ad impressions from Jan. 1 through Dec. 20 – the most of any industry that advertised on TV this year (excluding network promos). Sports were a key driver of impressions: NFL football led the way with 14.3 billion TV ad impressions, outdistancing college football (4.9 billion) and NBA basketball (4.5 billion).

On December 16, 2020, an investigator with our Special Victims Unit was notified by a brother that his sister was the victim of a domestic violence/arson incident. The brother stated the incident occurred at her residence in this county on December 6, 2020.
The boyfriend assaulted the victim with a liquor bottle, then poured gasoline on her and set her on fire.
The victim was able to put the fire out by jumping into a bathtub and then drove herself to the hospital.
Because of the severity of her injuries, the victim wasn’t able to provide emergency room personnel any specific details about the incident as they initially treated her and then transferred her to the Augusta Burn Center.

A North Bergen man who failed to get medical care for his infant daughter after she was dropped and fractured her skull in 2018 has been charged with murder.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Wednesday that 27-year-old Raul Torres was indicted by a grand jury indictment on Dec. 17 in the death of Khaleesi Torres, his 4-month-old daughter who died from traumatic brain injuries in March 2018. Torres is charged with murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

A joint investigation between detectives assigned to the MNPD’s newly created Special Victims Division and TBI agents led to Monday night’s arrest of a Memphis couple for sex trafficking a 15-year-old Maury County runaway.
Bernard Wilson, 36, and his girlfriend, Brittany King, 30, both of Memphis, are jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond each on a charge of trafficking for a commercial sex act.
The Special Victims Unit received information from the TBI that the 15-year-old, who was reported as a runaway on October 12th, was pictured on a website known to advertise for prostitution and was believed to be in the Nashville area. An undercover detective posing as a “John” made contact through the telephone number provided in the ad and was directed to come to a motel room on Percy Priest Drive.
