Ten Babies Died In Hospital Fire in Bhandara:- In Maharashtra, Bhandara District General Hospital around 2 am today, a fire broke out in the SNCU of the Hospital and Ten newborn babies died. According to the reports, the on duty nurses noticed the smoke coming from the neonatal care unit and they raised the alarm. The Bhandara District General Hospital is about 900 kms from the mumbai. At the time of incident, they were Seventeen babies admitted in the SNCU (Special Newborn Care Unit) of the General Hospital. Seven babies were rescued which were in the inborn ward of the unit. And the remaining who are in the outbound ward couldn t rushed out in time.

The incident took place at the Bhandara district hospital on Saturday. A fire broke out at the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) where seventeen babies were admitted. 10 were in the outbound ward and seven at the inborn ward. The nurses and helper immediately raised the alarm. The fire brigade was called. But before the fire officials arrived, the staff were only able to save seven babies of the inborn ward and ten of them of the outbound ward, suffocated to death.

(PTI) Mumbai: In a shocking incident, at least 10 newborn babies died at the neonatal care unit of the district government hospital in Maharashtra, in the early hours of Saturday when a major fire broke out. The incident took place at around 2 AM on Saturday at the neonatal care unit of Bhandara district hospital. The babies lost their lives due to burn injuries and suffocation after fire and smoke engulfed the building. The infants were aged between one day and one month.
