Police: Man riding stolen ATV seriously in crash while fleeing troopers By FOX 5 Atlanta Digital Team Published  (FOX 5) ATLANTA - A man riding an ATV was injured after crashing while trying to outrun Georgia State Patrol troopers in Atlanta. A large group of ATVs was in the area of Northside Drive near Whitehall Street on Sunday around 6;32 p.m. Atlanta police said officers and troopers responded. A trooper spotted an ATV, attempted to pull it over, but it sped away. Police said the ATV crashed near the intersection of Lee Street and Arlington Avenue. The rider was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

(WTOC) - Two teenage girls are injured after a rollover crash on Saturday afternoon in Brunswick, one of them seriously. Sergeant Shane Copeland of the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team says the teens were pulling out of a McDonald’s parking lot and crossing U.S. Highway 341 when they were struck by a southbound car. The impact caused their vehicle to roll over and one of the girls was ejected from the vehicle. Copeland says both girls are being treated at a nearby hospital, and the one ejected from the vehicle has serious injuries. The condition of the other driver, identified as a man, is still unknown.

Stephanie Hollingsworth, the prosecutor said his office is still gathering information and “look forward to a resolution of the case.” The wreck happened Sept. 20 on Ga. 11 near Green Circle, when authorities said a 16-year-old allegedly drove off the east shoulder of the roadway.
