Calley takes job at Small Business Association of Michigan

Calley will co-lead the organization as president, and he will be in charge of its communications and lobbying teams. That s according to current president and CEO Rob Fowler, who will remain as the organization s CEO. With his policy background, his natural inclination to small business, and his proven support and vision, we just felt it was the perfect match, said Fowler. Fowler said as state representative and lieutenant governor, Calley helped craft key changes in business taxes that helped small businesses.

While the economy is improving, our recovery is being hindered by a lack of available employees a complex problem with many challenges. The state is doing a good job of expanding access to post-secondary education and upskill opportunities for workers, but there are other immediate policy changes needed.
