The coronavirus crisis is now on its way out  and soon  vaccines would be available in India too, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Monday. He was speaking at the International Coronavirus Short Film Festival.
He took the opportunity to caution people against letting the guard down before antibodies are created and second dose of the vaccine administered.
Javadekar said that the pandemic has caused major upsets in countries across the globe. However, he noted, that India has been able to handle the crisis well under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, who, he said, recognised the crisis early.

New Delhi, Dec 14 : Screenings and an award ceremony for short films on coronavirus was organised here on Monday.
Titled International Coronavirus Short Film Festival, the event saw limited number of guests owing to the pandemic. Most of the jury members, including singer Sonu Nigam were unable to attend.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar was the chief guest of the event, and the festival was presided by Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

The last date for submission of application forms for Haj 2021 has been extended up to Jan. 10, 2021, and the estimated cost per Haj pilgrim has also been reduced, based on embarkation point, said Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, after a meeting of Haj Committee of India at Haj House, Mumbai, on Thursday.
Earlier, Dec. 10, 2020 was supposed to be the last date for submission of application forms for Haj 2021 and so far, more than 40,000 applications have been received for Haj 2021, including more than 500 applications under women without Mehram category, he said.
More than 2,100 women had applied for Haj 2020 under without Mehram (male companion) category. These women will go to Haj 2021 as their application for Haj 2020 is valid for Haj 2021 as well. Besides, new forms are being accepted from the women, who want to perform Haj 2021 without Mehram . All the women under without Mehram category will be exempte

Addressing a press conference after chairing a meeting of Haj Committee of India at Haj House, Mumbai, Naqvi said that people can now submit application forms by January 10, 2021.
