In September, YoungBoy and 16 others were arrested on drug and firearm charges while filming a music video in his hometown. Following a vehicle search, law enforcement allegedly found handguns, rifles, drugs, $47,000 in cash, jewelry and a $300,000 check.
“Kentrell is not guilty of any crimes,” his attorney James Manasseh said in a statement at the time. “There’s nothing in the report that indicates that he did anything wrong. They arrested several people and there was no indication that he had any guns or drugs on him at the time of the arrest. I ultimately believe he will be found innocent in all of this.”

We’ve all heard the stories about aspiring rappers busting a freestyle while their idols are doing everyday activities like shopping or running errands. Big Sean did it for Kanye West back in the day, which led to the rap superstar we have today.
In Louisiana, a local rapper tried to do the same thing by busting out a freestyle for Youngboy Never Broke Again’s mom, Sherhonda Gaulden, who happened to be putting gas into her car. In the clip shared by Our Generation Music’s Instagram page, the rapper spots Youngboy’s mother with a child in her arms.

Here’s an album that released in October and that totally wasn’t on my radar before. For me, alternative hip hop can be a mixed bag of “Oh, this awesome!” and “Technically, this isn’t bad but it doesn’t wow or move me.”
Anime, Trauma and Divorce leans closer towards “Oh, this awesome!” purely because it’s totally different from roughly eight albums on this list.
