I would like to thank former President Trump, and those who worked under him, for their efforts in establishing Operation Warp Speed. They are to be commended for making safe, effective COVID-19 vaccines available in a remarkably short period of time.
I would also like to thank President Biden, and those who work under him, for their efforts in accelerating the delivery and administration of the vaccines. They have met and surpassed their goals, and have made it possible for all Americans (16 and older) to get the vaccine far ahead of schedule.

Dance Songs for Hard Times(Family Owned Records/Thirty Tigers). With frenzied vocals and backwoods juke joint guitar, “No Tellin When,” a Covid-era song of separation, comes across like a “Poor Boy a Long Way from Home” blues lament. The Rev. s intensity and urgency convey a trace of comedy when “I ll Pick You Up” hopes a broken-down car holds up all through a hot date. Slide guitar notes practically scream. For a secularized gospel touch, his woo-woos stretch back from Paul McCartney to Little Richard to Marion Williams. The press notes say the disc “was written by candlelight and then recorded using the best technology available … in the 1950s.” W
Musical theater
Theatre Alliance will present outdoor performances of âRing of Fire: The Johnny Cash Musicalâ at the theaterâs new venue: 650 W. Sixth St., Winston-Salem.
The musical is about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption and the healing power of home and family. More than two dozen classic hits â including âI Walk The Line,â âA Boy Named Sue,â âFolsom Prison Blues,â and the title tune â are featured.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. April 29-30 and May 1 and 6-8.
Tickets are $25 at theatrealliance.ws/box office.
Concessions will be for sale. Guests are asked to bring chairs or blankets. COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
