SINGAPORE, Dec. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire/ Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MAXN), a global solar innovation leader, today announced that the company has received a positive patent validity ruling in a patent invalidation action filed in China by the Chinese solar manufacturer LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The action was filed against one of Maxeon s patents for the proprietary and fundamental shingled solar cell panel technology used to deploy solar panels that Maxeon designs and sells under the SunPower Performance brand name.
In May 2020, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) accepted a Request for Invalidation filed by LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. of Maxeon s patent regarding high efficiency shingled solar cell panels (China Patent N° 201710523237.1). DUBAI: TruKKer, the region’s first on-demand truck aggregator, has raised a $10 million strategic venture debt from Silicon Valley-based firm Partners for Growth (PFG).
The logistics firm, which is backed by Saudi investors and often referred to as “Uber for trucks,” has secured what has been described as the largest-ever venture-debt in Middle Eastern tech history.
Founded in 2016, TruKKer also raised $23 million last year in a Series A funding round that included STV, IFC and Endeavor Catalyst. The new deal will mark PFG’s first investment in the region.
TruKKer is a majority Saudi-owned company with other investors from the Kingdom including Riyadh Capital and Riyadh Taqnia Fund.

Apple and Lidar have seen their stock rise, amid a report on an imminent autonomous car from Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL). Velodyne Lidar (NASDAQ: VLDR), a Silicon Valley-based lidar technology company, and Luminar, a universal photo editing software application that both makes lidar sensors saw their stock rise almost 23% and over 27% respectively on December 21.
