FSIS worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in conjunction with state public health officials to determine evidence linking the Listeria monocytogenes illnesses to precooked chicken produced at Tyson Foods Inc. On June 9, 2021, FSIS was informed of two individuals with the illness. Additionally, the investigation found three people with the listeriosis illness including one death between April 6, 2021 and June 5, 2021.
The dates the products were produced are between December 26, 2020 and April 13, 2021. The recall is for frozen, fully cooked chicken. See the full list of the recall and see the labels. The establishment number is “EST.P-7089” and can be seen on the bag or as the USDA inspection mark on the inside of the product bag.
