It used to be that I would go marathon shopping on Black Friday. I would collect flyers and coupons and make a map and pack a cooler and be sure that I had my most comfortable sneakers within reach. If you think for a second that I m exaggerating this, ask my husband. He is so happy to not be my bag boy anymore.
A couple of years ago, worn out by the running on Black Friday, I scaled back and stuck to hitting up a couple of locally owned stores and then online shopping. I d be lying if I were to say that Amazon didn t play a huge role in that decision. No flyers, elbows, wasted gas or stalking parking spots. I could go zip in and out of the little local stores and do the rest of my shopping from the comfort of my bed.
