Ruby Tungseth-Dowden grew up in the Philippines where she was trained, alongside her siblings, in the food industry from an early age. Her mother owns two restaurants and a catering business, in which Tungseth-Dowden was introduced to the business first by delivering food via bicycle when she was in fourth grade.
Tungseth-Dowden came to the United States in 2008, one year after marrying her late husband, Fergus Falls resident John Tungseth.Â
âI never thought I would have my own business,â explained Tungseth-Dowden. âI just love to cook and share it with friends and family.âÂ

Growing up in Grand Forks, I have seen a lot of great concerts over the years at the Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo, North Dakota. Martina McBride, The Band Perry, Tim McGraw and so many more. This year I m excited for one show in particular. Somebody who has slipped under my radar over the years, but is so GOOD! I m talking about Chris Young. He ll be taking the stage along with Michael Ray on Saturday, July 10th.
Chris Young has had many hits over the years including his latest Famous Friends , Getting You Home , Think of You , Who I am With You , Aw Naw and so many more. I know he ll put on quite a show.

WEST FARGO The rock band Skillet will be opening the grandstand stage at the 2021 Red River Valley Fair on Friday, July 9.
The Red River Valley Fair announced the band s appearance this week. Eighties bands Ratt, Cinderella, Tom Keifer and KIX will perform on the Grandstand stage on Friday, July 16.
Tickets go on sale for Skillet at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Tickets are $25 and will include gate admission to the Fair on Friday, July 9.
Tickets will be available for purchase at redrivervalleyfair.com.
The 2021 Red River Valley Fair is planned for July 9 – 18 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo. The 2020 fair was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
