SPT adds Red’s Fereday in scripted push Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has added Red Production Company’s Michaela Fereday to its senior international production creative team as part of its push into international scripted series. Michaela Fereday Fereday is joining the studio in the UK as senior VP of scripted production and will report to Brendan Fitzgerald, senior VP of international coproductions. The former executive producer and head of production at Red will work with SPT’s international scripted teams in LA, London and Madrid in the role, which she starts next week. SPT said Fereday’s new role will have a dual focus, including responsibility for the executive production of premium scripted drama titles produced directly by Sony Pictures Television International Production (SPTIP), independent of the group’s network of owned-and-affiliated production companies.
