HCM City (VNS/VNA) With the third outbreak of the
COVID-19 pandemic
under control, the demand for domestic tours during the Tet (
Lunar New Year) holiday is
expected to rise in the next few weeks, according to travel agencies.
The country will enjoy a seven-day Tet holiday
starting from February 10.
Hundreds of domestic and overseas tours during Tet are usually introduced at this time
of year, said Lai Minh Duy, general director of TST Tourist.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) announced it has included a project to develop a second airport in the capital city of Hanoi in its draft planning on the national system of airports.
Along with the Hanoi airport project, the authority also added the Cao Bằng airport project in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bằng. The projects will not be executed in the 2020-2030 period but before 2050.
A CAAV representative said on Sunday (Dec 20) the authority had completed the draft planning.

VN aviation authority warns over fraud repatriation flights

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has warned that Vietnamese people who have been stuck in foreign countries due to the pandemic and wish to get back home should watch out for fake advertisements for tickets on repatriation flights.
Speaking at a meeting organised last week by the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Dao Duy Duong, deputy head of its legal department, said Vietnamese people who have been stuck in foreign countries due to the pandemic should only buy tickets from official sources.
