Siskiyou County officials ordered residents to evacuate in the areas of Lake Shastina and Juniper Valley, along Hoy Road, Highway 97 and County Road A-12 due to the encroaching Lava Fire, said Michelle Carbonaro, spokeswoman for the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. An evacuation center has been set up at a local elementary school.
