A Tigard, Oregon man was arrested on Friday after officers say they found three loaded handguns, heroin, methamphetamine, drug sales paraphernalia and an improvised explosive device inside his car.
Chad Curtis Loynachan, age 29, had a previous felony charge that prohibited him from having firearms, according to a press release from Yreka Area California Highway Patrol public information officer Greg Perkins.
Two of the loaded handguns were later determined to be stolen, Perkins added.
As of Wednesday morning, Feb. 10, Loynachan was still listed as an inmate at the Siskiyou County Jail in Yreka on several drug and weapons-related charges. The amount of his bail was not listed.
