SPS welcomes back elementary students to in-person learning
On Monday, Seattle Public Schools welcomed back elementary students to in-person learning, the first day since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Q13 s Steve Kiggins reports.
SEATTLE - Monday was the first day back to in-person instruction for many students enrolled in Seattle Public Schools. It was also a return to some sense of normalcy after learning remotely began about one year ago.
Kindergarten and elementary school kids returned to in-person instruction Monday, while middle and high school students may return by April 19.
SEATTLE - Thousands of kids are heading back to school Monday in Seattle for their first day of in-person learning in months. All students in kindergarten through the fifth grade are coming back for at least some in-person learning in the Seattle Public Schools. Students in middle and high school special education intensive pathways are also coming back.

And because the internet facilitated the viewing of this work, I had immediate access to watching Ichikawa’s process on other platforms like YouTube an experience I couldn’t have in the same way by just seeing her work in a gallery.
Despite these connections, virtually experiencing art felt lacking. I’d usually log off the Zoom or exit the viewing room or shut down Instagram and would again be confronted with my loneliness. Screens make connecting hard.
