These active drilling rigs included 264 oil rigs operating in the U.S. oil fields, up by one from the previous week; 83 gas drilling rigs, up by two from the previous week; and one miscellaneous rigs, down by one from last week. The 348 rigs included 329 land drilling rigs, up by one from the previous week; 17 offshore drilling rigs, up by one from two previous week; and two inland water drilling rig, unchanged from last week.
