Shanghai’s New Registration Rules Reveal CCP’s Major Crises Amid Public Outrage: Expert
Shanghai’s new regulations, which require visitors to register their personal information if they stay in the city for more than 24 hours, caused backlash on Chinese social media. One expert believes the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will implement the same rules throughout China in the near future because it is confronted by four major crises that threaten its rule.
On April 1, Shanghai began to enforce the newly revised “Shanghai Real Population Services and Management Regulations,” demanding visitors who stay in the financial hub for more than 24 hours to register or face a fine of up to 5,000 yuan ($750).
Failed Chinese Navigation System Leads to Chinese Driver’s Death
A Chinese truck driver was fined $305 when the truck’s China-made Beidou navigation system (BDS) receiver failed on April 5. He then committed suicide at a checkpoint and left a note revealing a sad phenomenon in China.
His brother, also a truck driver, talked to Chinese media on April 6 about how a driver can’t fix the BDS receiver. Nonetheless, the Chinese regime fines truck drivers for all possible reasons, making a driver’s life tough and harsh.
However, the related reports were removed from the internet on April 8 and Chinese state-owned Xinhua published a standard report. The report, republished by most Chinese media, implied the BDS receiver did not fail.
