BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) Cliff Walkers, Chinese director Zhang Yimou s first foray into the spy genre, continued to lead China s box office chart on Sunday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network.
The action thriller grossed about 66.8 million yuan (about about 10.4 million U.S. dollars) on Sunday, marking the seventh consecutive day of dominating China s daily box office.
Set in northeast China in 1930s, it follows Communist Party special agents as they test their wits against their enemies to complete a secret mission. It has pocketed 761 million yuan since its release on April 30.

The movie raked in 36.42 million yuan (around 5.63 million U.S. dollars) on its seventh day of screening, accounting for nearly 40 percent of China s daily box-office sales which totaled 93.2 million yuan on Thursday.
It was followed by romantic drama My Love, finishing the day with 23.62 million yuan in daily revenue.
Crime thriller Break Through the Darkness ranked third, which pocketed about 14.98 million yuan on Thursday.
