BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) Chinese feature film A Little Red Flower continued leading the Chinese mainland box office on Monday, pocketing nearly 12 million yuan (around 1.85 million U.S. dollars) within the day.
The film, telling a heartwarming story of two families battling cancer, had dominated the chart since its debut on Dec. 31, 2020, generating a total of 1.2 billion yuan, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed Tuesday.
It was followed by crime thriller hit Shock Wave 2, which generated 9.2 million yuan on Monday.
In third place was the comedy Warm Hug, which generated 6.34 million yuan on Monday. The film is adapted from Korean comedy The Plan Man.
