China hints at another potential Bitcoin ban amid furtive trading concerns

Foreign investors target opportunities through China s market opening

Foreign investors target opportunities through China’s market opening Cross-border investment flows into China will receive a boost from the removal of foreign investor quota restrictions under the Qualified Foreign Investor (QFI) programme and reforms to the CIBM Direct scheme for onshore bond investments. These are key findings of Funds Europe’s China Investor Survey 2020, conducted in partnership with Standard Chartered. With Chinese regulators advancing a wide array of policy proposals designed to enhance market access and to improve market efficiency, the survey asked respondents to prioritise which of these reforms will have the greatest impact on their business. China s furtive bitcoin trade heats up again, worrying regulators | WSAU News/Talk 550 AM · 99 9 FM

By Syndicated Content By Samuel Shen and Andrew Galbraith SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Bitcoin s 300% price surge since October has revived China s grey market in cryptocurrency trading, putting regulators on alert over financial risks and capital outflows as volatility spikes. Onshore investors now trade bitcoin on platforms owned by Chinese exchanges that have relocated overseas, including Huobi and OKEx. Once-dormant Chinese trading chatrooms on social media have become busier. I ve come to look for investment opportunities, said Paris Chang, who opened an account last month at cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
