Dr. Brian Ellison
YEREVAN The American University of Armenia is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Ellison as the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective July 1.
Dr. Ellison will continue to support the development and implementation of the new strategic process for the University. Professor Ellison has served as both Interim Provost and Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at AUA.
Previously, Dr. Ellison held academic and administrative positions at the assistant levels, then tenured associate and full professor levels at the University of Idaho, Appalachian State University, the College of Charleston/University of South Carolina, and Missouri State University. Internationally, he has worked as a visiting professor at the China University of Political Science and Law, Liaoning Normal University in China, St. Petersburg State University in Russia, and as an Open Society Institute higher education consultant to Yerevan State Uni
CCP ‘Outwardly Strong, but Inwardly Weak’: China Expert

Noted China expert Roger Garside stated on Monday that the Communist regime of China is “outwardly strong, but inwardly weak” during a discussion on the potential for regime change and democracy in China hosted by the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
Garside, a British former diplomat who was stationed in China, as well as the author of “China Coup: The Great Leap to Freedom” and “Coming Alive: China After Mao,” called the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) “fearful,” and stated, “The regime which rules China today is totalitarian, not authoritarian.”
He said that while the CCP works to project a strong image, it has a number of foundational weaknesses that are endemic to a totalitarian regime.

Despite US President Joe Biden showing his resolve to find out whether the coronavirus emerged from human contact with an infected animal or from a laboratory accident in a latest attempt to hype the virus-leakage conspiracy theory, scientists and foreign affairs experts from the US and China said they do not expect a credible report from the untrustworthy US intelligence community in 90 days as it is not a scientific institution at all.
