Opposition should take decisions in national interest, says Khattak July 11, 2021 NOWSHERA: Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak on Saturday said that the country was passing through a critical phase of its history and the opposition parties should take decisions in the national interest. Speaking to party workers in Pirsabak, Zaramiana in PK-61 constituency here, he said that scores of families were lifted from the poverty line through various projects, including Ehsaas Programme, Ration cards and others initiated by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He asked opposition parties to supplement the government efforts to work for the welfare of the people and the country.

10th JCC meeting on CPEC on 16th: Asim Bajwa

July 11, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The 10th meeting of Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is scheduled to be held on July 16, Chairman CPEC Authority Lt. Gen. (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said Saturday. While announcing the date for the much-awaited meeting, he said the meeting would be held via video link and co-chaired by Planning Minister Asad Umar and Vice Chairman National Development and Reforms Commission (NDRC) Ning Jizhe. “Normally the JCC meeting is held once in a year. The 9th meeting was held in 2019 but the 10th meeting could not be scheduled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The JCC is the highest decision-making forum on CPEC which would review progress and future projects as well, Bajwa said.
