In a statement on Monday, he said Balochistan could lead the entire region to development and prosperity.
Mr Zarkoon said that international companies could invest heavily in the resource-rich province and Gwadar port was providing immense opportunities to investors via facilitating trade.
He said after the improvement in the geopolitical situation of Balochistan, the focus was now shifting to geo-economics.
He said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was linking Pakistan with Afghanistan, Asia and Russia, while the Silk Road project would bring about revolutionary changes in the region. Balochistan was becoming the centre of all these global changes, paving the way for large-scale investment in the province, he commented.

The government is considering the possibility of giving two years visa extension to Chinese nationals working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.
The government may approve a general two-year extension, a senior government official told The Express Tribune. He said that the Ministry of Interior has been requested to make a case for extension and bring it before the Cabinet Committee on CPEC.
Another option that is being considered is to link the visa period with the completion date of the multibillion-dollar project, which could end the requirement of seeking an extension.

CPEC-funded Iqbal Industrial City ready to run

The first phase of the Allama Iqbal Industrial City, the first economic zone under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), has been completed where more than ten companies have started setting up their industrial plants while a total area of more than 1,000 acres has been allotted.
Expressing these views, the chairman of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC), Mian Kashif Ashfaq, said that Allama Iqbal Industrial City was a historic project of the present government which reflected the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the chief minister.
State-of-the-art facilities will be provided at the Allama Iqbal Industrial City, which will be provided with electricity and gas supply, a modern security system, and trained security staff. With the establishment of the One Window Service Center, the problems of all the industries related to the industry will be solved under one roof.
