Will Joe Biden Help the Navy Build Back Better?

The Navy has been looking to increase its size. President-Elect Joe Biden campaigned on an economic recovery policy of “Build Back Better” and it included a platform that called for investment in clean energy, a modernization of manufacturing and innovation, an education workforce and racial equity in America. What was never mentioned is how the U.S. military fits into the equation, and this certainly includes the U.S. Navy. This year in terms of vessels, China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) became the largest naval force in the world, and it is uncertain what will be done to ensure that the United States Navy doesn’t fall behind. While America still maintains a superior number of aircraft carriers, China has made significant leaps forward and is building a third carrier.

India, Japan and US devise underwater system to counter Chinese submarine threat Follow Newsd On   By Atul Aneja New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) As 2020 dawns, India and its friends in its neighbourhood have to be vigilant against the threat posed by Sea Wing underwater drones. The U S Navy Sent 4 Killer Battleships to Fight North Korea

The U.S. Navy Sent 4 Killer Battleships to Fight North Korea The ferocity and efficiency of the North Korean offensive of June 1950 into South Korea took everyone, including the U.S. Navy, by surprise. Here s What You Need to Remember: The Iowas will not, of course, participate in any future conflict on the Korean Peninsula. However, in the event of conflict USN surface ships will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the conflict by means of land attack cruise missiles. In the final months of the Second World War, the battleships of the U.S. Navy (USN) ranged across the archipelago of Japan, bombarding industrial, military and logistical targets at will. The Japanese military lacked enough ships, planes and fuel to defend the nation, leaving coastal areas at the mercy of the steel behemoths. Although most of the credit (such that it is) for the destruction of urban Japan belongs to the bombers of the U.S. Army Air Force, the battleships and cruisers of the navy contributed

New satellite images obtained by the private satellite intelligence firm ShadowBreak Intl. and reported by USNI News, appear to show new drydocks for warships at a Chinese naval base at Sanya, located in Hainan, and expanded hangar facilities at an airbase just a few miles further along the Hainan coastline. “Looks like PLAN is expanding its airbase at Sanya, Hainan,” a Twitter user posted, referring to China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). The tweet included images purporting to show new hangar space and repair stations near a runway on the Chinese navy base.
