ENTERTAINMENT  Christine Seven Mosha (Courtesy) Tanzania’s Christine Mosha has been appointed by international record label Sony Music Africa as the new marketing and artist development head for East Africa region. Starting immediately, Mosha, popularly known as Seven, will be responsible for building the company’s list of local talent while amplifying its international repertoire across the region. She will directly report to managing director of Sony Music Africa Sean Watson. Speaking on her new role, Mosha expressed excitement as she exuded confidence in making a great impact on the local entertainment scene. “I am very excited about joining Sony Music Africa look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the entertainment industry, not just in East Africa but across the continent,” Mosha said.

Mosha brings over 15 years of African entertainment industry experience to the role and has worked closely with Sony Music Africa for many years. In 2017, she founded her own independent record label and talent management company, Rockstar Africa, where she delivered commercial success for a number of East African artists including Lady Jaydee, Ray C, TID, Rose Muhando, Xtatic, Alikiba and Ommy Dimpoz.

An Allegheny Township photographer is doing her part to help Alle-Kiski Valley restaurants affected by coronavirus-related restrictions. Amy Capiross-Watterson is offering to take free professional photos of a restaurant’s popular takeout menu items to encourage people to order takeout amid the latest round of covid-19 restrictions, which went into effect on Saturday and will last through 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4. Capiross-Watterson is the owner of Amy Cap Photography, a photography business based in Allegheny Township. She made a public post on her personal Facebook page Friday encouraging restaurants to reach out to her if they would like to have photos taken.
