It comes after the broadcast regulator dismissed previous complaints by Mr Salmond. Welsh independence is a talking point in this election – more so than in previous years. The WalesOnline St David s Day poll earlier this year showed that opposition to independence had fallen to its lowest ever level. The YouGov poll showed that the proportion of people saying they would definitely oppose independence is now just 50%.
