One killed in explosion near Siloam Springs Share Updated: 3:00 AM CST Dec 15, 2020 Share Updated: 3:00 AM CST Dec 15, 2020 One person was killed and others were hurt in an explosion near Siloam Springs Monday afternoon, Lt. Shannon Jenkins with the Benton County Sheriff s Office told 40/29 News.The explosion happened on Bill Young Road, which is east of Siloam Springs.Lt. Jenkins did not know the extent of the injuries, but one person was brought to a hospital via helicopter.Deputies were not able to release any names of people involved.Lt. Jenkins said a first responder was one of the people who was injured. That person had minor injuries. The sheriff s office has not yet determined the cause of the explosion. Lt. Jenkins said fire marshals will investigate the cause of the explosion Tuesday.
