In response, a bipartisan bill introduced this week in the U.S. House of Representatives would establish a program to develop antimicrobial and antibiotic innovations targeting the most challenging pathogens and most threatening infections. 

Vigil held at Apple Rehab to show support for those struggling

Jim Shannon Republican-American WATERTOWN A dark parking lot on a chilly December evening turned out to provide a lot of comfort to those seeking it Friday. Approximately 30 people, plus a few more who remained in their vehicles, gathered in front of Apple Rehab Watertown, a 110-bed convalescent center on Bunker Hill Road, in a show of support for family members staying in the facility that has been wracked by a surge of COVID-19 cases among residents and staff.
