The Ogun 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has lamented about incessant attacks on its personnel, stating that an abducted officer is still missing despite a repeated search.
The Command disclosed this in a statement signed by its Spokesman, Oloyede Hameed Bukoye, late on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Command, Peter Chado Kolo, during a courtesy visit to traditional rulers of border communities, used the opportunity to appeal to parents and guardians residing in border communities to prevail on their children, wards and youths to desist from such criminal acts such as smuggling and attack on security agencies.

Hoodlums suspected to be smugglers on Tuesday in Lagos attacked and wounded three officers of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC) and a military officer in Lagos.
The officers who were on anti-smuggling patrol on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway were attacked and wounded at dawn.
According to a press statement made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Zone A of the unit, Theophilus Duniya, three Customs officers and a military officer attached to the patrol team sustained various degree of bullet wounds.
He stated that the officers had intercepted six vehicles laden with smuggled rice before they were attacked by the hoodlums.

he Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has revealed that it intercepted an export container concealed with 162 sacks of pangolin scales worth almost one billion naira.
Showcasing the seizures, yesterday at Apapa port, the Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Mohammed Abba-Kura, said the seizure was made based on credible intelligence.
He said one person was arrested for his alleged involvement in the illegal export of the scales of an endangered animal species.
Abba-Kura explained that the 57 sacks of pangolin scales which weigh about 8,800kg and 57 others were mixed with parts of other endangered animal species of various sizes.
