The counterfeit perfumes were found in a shipment of items being imported from Hong Kong, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. A shipment of more than 1,000 cartons were on the ship manifest as cellular phone accessories.
But during the inspection, CBP officers discovered over 80 of those cartons actually contained counterfeit perfumes that were being passed off as products from high-end labels like Dior, Chanel and Paco Rabanne, the statement said.
In total, CBP seized 3,738 bottles of counterfeit perfumes.

Three asylum seekers from Cameroon say an Immigration and Customs Enforcement guard threatened to expose them to COVID-19 if they failed to obey his orders and submit to deportation. They were told they would be transferred to Bravo-Alpha, the detention unit of the Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center in Louisiana where COVID-19 positive detainees were held in quarantine, detainee Clovis Fozao told The Intercept. “They were forcing us out of the dorm, pushing and dragging us,” Fozao said, explaining when the guards pushed the detainees toward deportation. “They threatened to call the SWAT team.” The Intercept
The guitars arrived in 36 different shipments from China on Dec. 15 and officers suspected the guitars to be counterfeit and detained them to continue their investigation. The collection consisted of 27 Gibson, six Fender, two CF Martin and one Paul Reed Smith guitars and allegedly were autographed and played by famous musicians.
According to a news release, many of the Gibsons were of the Les Paul line of custom guitars, and even Jimmy Page’s Gibson Double Neck made the collection. An ax autographed by Guns and Roses guitarist Slash was also included.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection declined comment on the lawsuit. The agency hasn t said much at all about the incident, frustrating Risner and his client. Besides not releasing the officer s name, CBP hasn t said exactly where the incident occurred a fact that could be crucial in the case.
The incident began at about 7 p.m. on February 7, 2019, in one of the southbound lanes of the DeConcini Crossing port of entry in Nogales, Arizona. Customs officers alerted to the small, tan pickup Mendivil Perez was driving, which displayed the license plate of a different vehicle, said a CBP post published on its site a few days later.
