Woman hurt in Freeborn County rollover

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Minn. – An SUV crashed on Interstate 90 Thursday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Kim Elizabeth Kastens, 48 of Wells, was westbound on I-90 when she went off the road near mile marker 155 and rolled into the median. This happened around 4:52 pm.
Kastens was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol says road conditions were snowy and icy at the accident scene.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted with this crash.
The system was down for about six hours before being restored.

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A North Iowa man is involved in a serious southern Minnesota auto accident.
It happened around 6:16 am Thursday on southbound Interstate 35 in Freeborn County. The Minnesota State Patrol says Marcus Allan Chisholm, 28 of Mason City, and Larry Lyle Albright, 62 of Colfax, Wisconsin, crashed their vehicles together near mile marker 8 in Freeborn County.
Colfax suffered what are described as life threatening injuries and was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
Chisholm and his passenger, Clarissa Marie Krominga, 33 of Mason City, were not hurt. The State Patrol says all occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Semi rollover injures two in Freeborn County
Happened early Saturday on I-35.

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Minn. – A semi rollover sent two people to the hospital early Saturday morning in Freeborn County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Mohamed Jafar Jelani, 26 of Minneapolis, was driving a semi south on Interstate 35 when he lost control on a curve near mile marker 25 and rolled. It happened around 2:34 am.
The State Patrol says Jelani and a passenger in the semi, Abubakar Mohamed Ahmed, 25 of St. Cloud, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Albert Lea.
