The New Year’s Eve bowl games 2020 schedule features three contests, beginning with the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and culminating with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The college football bowl schedule on New Year’s Eve kicks off at noon ET on ESPN with the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The contest features the 24th-ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane of the American taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs of the SEC. At 2:00pm ET on CBS, the Offerpad Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Ariz., kicks off. The Ball State Cardinals from the MAC take on the 22nd-ranked San Jose State Spartans of the Mountain West in that contest.

Tennessee was scheduled to face the West Virginia Mountaineers in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tenn., on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 (New Year’s Eve). The Volunteers pulled out of the game after COVID-19 tests revealed “…an increase in positive cases among student-athletes and staff and subsequent contact tracing.” “Earlier today, I was informed by our medical staff that I have tested positive for COVID-19, and I immediately began isolating at home,” Tennessee Head Football Coach Jeremy Pruitt said. “I am experiencing mild symptoms but doing fine.
