The Chancellor announced that in total two more SEISS grants, each covering a three-month period, will be available to cover November 2020 to April 2021.

You can unsubscribe at any time. On Thursday, December 17 Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) will be extended until April 2021. Struggling businesses will also have until the end of March to access Government loan schemes, such as the Bounce Back Loan Scheme and the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme.

The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) has helped millions of self-employed people throughout the pandemic, and November to January 2021 will be covered by the scheme’s third grant, capped at £7,500. However since the scheme was introduced in March 2020, the Government has faced significant criticism as well as praise over the scheme.

SEISS grant 4: When will the next self-employed grant be available to claim?

Previously swathes of newly self-employed people have not been eligible to claim from SEISS. Ahead of the Budget, Rishi Sunak said: Our Covid support schemes have been a lifeline to millions, protecting jobs and incomes across the UK. There s now light at the end of the tunnel with a roadmap for reopening, so it s only right that we continue to help business and individuals through the challenging months ahead - and beyond.
