The Ohio Supreme Court ruled in favor of the city of South Euclid in a case brought against it by South Euclid Municipal Court and Judge Gayle Williams-Byers. Williams-Byers had sought greater funding from the city and took the matter to court when City Council did not grant her the funding she requested.

Cuyahoga, federal judges postpone jury trials again, citing surge in coronavirus

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Judges in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court agreed Monday to push back jury trials again, a move prompted by the surge of coronavirus cases in the county.
The judges originally agreed to delay jury trials until Jan. 19, but they agreed Monday to go beyond that date because of the mounting COVID-19 cases in the county and across the state. The judges will meet again early next month to study county data and determine when it would be safe to have jurors and prospective jurors return to the Justice Center.

Wilmington Trust National Association of Delaware and Washington, D.C.-based special servicer CW Capital Asset Management on Dec. 17 filed a foreclosure proceeding in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court to recoup the landmark shopping center on Cleveland s East Side from Coral Shaker Square LLC, an affiliate of Coral Co. real estate development and management concern.
