CLEVELAND, Ohio – A 51-year-old man was shot dead early Saturday on the city’s East Side, Cleveland police said. Cleveland police officers were called about 2 a.m. to the 6100 block of Haltnorth Walk, just north of Woodland Avenue in the city’s Central neighborhood, department spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said. They found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to MetroHealth, where he was pronounced dead, Ciaccia said. His identity will be made public by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office once his family is notified.
