CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 24-year-old grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson appeared before a judge in Cleveland Municipal Court Tuesday morning.
Frank Q. Jackson had a pre-trial on a domestic violence charge for an incident in Cleveland involving his girlfriend on Dec. 18, 2020.
The victim told Cleveland police Jackson struck her in the head and face several times, after she asked Jackson to get her a diaper so she could change their child.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Euclid police officer was indicted on seven counts, including attempted rape and other sex crimes, stemming from an investigation involving a teen girl.
According to the police department, a complaint was made by the 13-year-old victim on Nov. 8, 2020 against Officer Donald Ivory alleging off-duty wrongdoings involving the juvenile.
Ivory was placed on leave and a criminal investigation was launched under the order of Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Grand Jury has indicted the driver of the Western Star dump truck who caused a fatal accident after hitting a sign on I-480 near State Road in Cleveland.
Jason Beard, 38, was indicted on two charges of aggravated vehicular homicide.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 44-year-old music teacher at Our Lady of Angels School has been indicted on two counts of importuning by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury, for allegedly having a sexually explicit conversation with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
Gregory Kinat also faces a charge of possessing criminal tools.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutors said Kinat was actually talking to an undercover officer and the alleged conversations happened between Jan. 27 and Feb. 3.

The City of Beachwood has fired a police officer following the results of an investigation into a shooting at Beachwood Place in the summer of 2019.
In a letter sent from Beachwood Mayor Martin S. Horwitz to former officer Blake Rogers, the mayor says that Rogers violated multiple ethical, use of force, and standards policies enforced by the Beachwood Police Department, including discharging his weapon in the presence of children.
