Scorching temperatures baking some parts of California may mean that state residents will be asked to voluntarily conserve energy, officials said Sunday.
A heat bulletin from the California Independent System Operator said officials might issue a flex alert and ask consumers “to reduce electricity use during critical times of stress on the [power] grid.”
